The "Heart" of the NAMS Implementation Project
Collaboration among peers is the primary function of this site; The Forum is its very Heart and Soul. The intent is to provide a platform for ideas, discussion, planning and reporting from anyone interested in motorcycle safety. We all know the best environment for the flow of ideas and collaboration is one unfettered by a detailed agenda.
Our forum is organized using the same Haddon Matrix structure of the National Agenda document itself. As you can see by the site map (click on the image to the left for a larger view) there are four main sections: Human Factors, Vehicle Factors, Environmental Factors and Social Factors. Each of the main sections will have its own moderator and is broken out into separate and distinct sub-forums.
Who's In Charge?
An important aspect of the Forum is that of "Community." Naturally, a true community is self-directed and self-managed. That is why all design for this Project was examined by an impartial Stakeholder Review Group. And that is why the site community will bear the responsibility of maintaining order. Each Forum Section will be moderated by a volunteer from the ranks of participating Citizens. They serve six month terms and will be officially recognized by their contribution at the end of that term.
The Moderators will be responsible for enforcing the Rules of Conduct. The primary directive is to ensure each and every citizen's personal respect and dignity. These rules are simple, easy to follow, and based on common courtesy and respect.
So what are you waiting for?
Why not dive right in? Go to the registration area and become a full-fledged Citizen. Or, if you prefer, go straight to the forum and have a look around first. There is no registration required to browse. Regardless of how you begin, your involvement is more than welcome - it's necessary!
